Credits & Plan Management

Available Credits

Your current credit balance is displayed at the top of your SmileGen dashboard. Every smile transformation uses credits, so it’s important to keep an eye on this number.

Buying Credits

Click Buy Credits to purchase more. Tip: The larger the credit package you purchase, the lower your cost per credit will be.

Auto Top-Up (Highly Recommended)

If you use SmileGen regularly and don’t want to risk running out of credits mid-consultation, enable the Auto Top-Up option:

  1. Select your desired credit package
  2. Toggle Enable Top-Up
  3. Your card will automatically be charged whenever your balance drops to 5 credits or fewer

If you prefer a one-time purchase, simply complete the checkout and your credits will appear in your account within a few minutes. If they don’t, please reach out to our support team.

Upgrading Your Plan

Click Upgrade Plan to view all available subscription tiers (Starter, Pro, Monthly, Annual). You’ll see a full comparison of features and included credits so you can choose the plan that best fits your practice.

Creating a New Smile Transformation

Step 1: Review the Disclaimer

Always read the on-screen disclaimer before generating a transformation. SmileGen results are for cosmetic visualization purposes only and are not a guarantee of clinical outcomes.

Step 2: Enter Contact Information

Fill in the lead’s first name, last name, and phone number. Be as clear and specific as possible — this helps you and your team locate transformations later in the history section without confusion.

Step 3: Select Treatment Type

Choosing the correct treatment type is critical — it tells the AI exactly what kind of transformation to generate. Available options:

  • Full Mouth Rehab / All-on-X: For leads missing teeth who need implants or full-arch restorations
  • Smile Makeover: Closer to veneers, whitening, and cosmetic enhancement
  • Orthodontic: For leads with all their teeth who need alignment correction only

Important: Selecting the wrong treatment type confuses the AI. For example, choosing All-on-X for a 20-year-old with mild misalignment but no missing teeth will produce poor results. Always match the treatment selection to the lead’s actual clinical need.

Step 4: Choose a Shade Preference

Select between:

  • Natural Shade
  • Hollywood Shade

You’ll have the ability to fine-tune the shade after the transformation is generated using our new Tone Adjustment feature.

Step 5: (Optional) Additional Customizations

Expand the optional settings to customize the transformation further:

  • Softer, rounder teeth shape
  • Change shirt/top color for a more dramatic before-and-after
  • Blur the background
  • Subtle skin enhancement (smooths skin and reduces minor blemishes for a polished, camera-ready look)

You can also set any of these as defaults to apply to all future transformations.

Step 6: Upload Your Photo

Photo guidelines for best results:

  • Clear, well-lit photo
  • Open mouth with a visible smile
  • Head-on / front-facing angle
  • Avoid side-profile photos or closed-mouth shots

Upload the photo or take one directly through the platform, confirm it’s the right image, and click Generate My Smile. Your before-and-after transformation will be ready in approximately 10–15 seconds.

After the Transformation: What You Can Do

Download Options

  • Download Comparison Image — saves the before/after side-by-side to your device
  • Save Printable PDF — perfect for handing to patients at the chair

Free Retries

If you’re not happy with the first result, you have two free retries on the same photo — no additional credits used. After that, generating a new transformation will use a credit.

Try Another Photo

Want to try a different angle or a different lead? Click Try Another Photo. (Note: this will use a new credit.)

NEW BETA FEATURE: Custom Tone Adjustment

Beyond the standard Natural and Hollywood shades, you can now fine-tune the exact color of the transformed teeth.

How to Use It

  1. After your transformation is generated, click the “Want to Change the Tone (Beta)” button
  2. Adjust the brush to the appropriate size
  3. Outline the teeth area where you want to change the color
  4. Click Done
  5. Use the sliding scale to choose from the brightest Hollywood-white down to a more natural, duller shade
  6. Click Save when you’re happy with the color

Your updated before-and-after will reflect the new shade and can be downloaded as a comparison image or PDF.

Creating a Video Transformation

After generating a smile transformation, you can convert it into a short video. Click Create Video, then choose from the available options:

  • Videos without audio
  • Videos with audio

The credit cost for each option is clearly displayed before you commit. Want to see what each video style looks like first? Click View Example Videos to preview options in our Knowledge Base before spending credits.

Transformation History

Every transformation you generate is saved in your Transformation History section for the past 30 days. From here you can:

  • Search by patient name or treatment type
  • View a quick before-and-after preview
  • Re-download the transformation
  • Share directly via email or shareable link
  • Create a video from a past transformation
  • Open the full-screen preview
  • Delete a transformation (not recommended unless cleaning up clearly unusable results)

Sharing SmileGen: Admin & Patient Links

Admin Mobile Link

This link gives your staff and doctors direct access to the admin transformation form — without needing to log into the BiteBot platform.

Best for: Front desk team, hygienists, treatment coordinators, and doctors who need quick access during consultations.

Click Admin Mobile Link → Copy or Share the link → Distribute to your team.

Patient Self-Service Link

This link is designed to be shared directly with patients so they can generate their own transformation.

Best for:

  • Patients with upcoming appointments — build excitement and reduce no-shows
  • Re-warming leads who left without booking
  • Closing treatment sales when the patient is hesitant

The patient sees a simplified version (no credit balance, no admin settings) — but every transformation they create is automatically saved to your account’s history, so you always have full visibility.

Website Embed Options

SmileGen can be embedded directly on your practice website at no additional cost. You have three embed options to choose from.

1. Floating Widget

A floating button (similar to a live chat bubble) that opens the SmileGen transformation tool. Fully customizable:

  • Default or custom intro video
  • Button text and position (bottom-right, bottom-left, etc.)
  • Widget theme, layout, and size
  • Available treatment options and defaults
  • Allow or disable video creation from the widget
  • Custom color matching to your brand
  • Results page accent buttons: Call Now or Book Appointment

Once configured, click Save Widget Settings and copy the embed code into your website (or send it to your web developer).

2. Patient Form (Wizard-Guided)

A full embedded form with step-by-step patient flow. Best for landing pages and dedicated SmileGen pages. Customize:

  • Theme, treatment options, shade defaults
  • Whether phone number is required
  • Whether video creation is enabled
  • Color and branding

Key Feature: Lead Qualification Questions

Add custom qualifying questions before the lead can generate a transformation. For example, if you only want All-on-X candidates:

  • Question: “Are you missing teeth?”
  • Answer type: Yes / No
  • If “No”: Show a disqualifying message and optional booking URL

This helps filter out unqualified leads and protects your credits from being used on people who aren’t a fit for your services.

3. Admin Form Embed

Embed the full admin form directly on a private internal page of your website — ideal for staff who need quick access from a shared computer or tablet.

Branding & Settings

Customize SmileGen to match your practice. Found under the Settings section.

Practice Branding

  • Upload your practice logo
  • Add your practice name, phone number, and notification email
  • Set default color theme (Classic Clean, White, Dark, etc.)
  • Choose your display theme for the admin view

Branding settings apply to your transformation output, admin form, and shared links — making everything feel like an extension of your practice.

Custom Treatment Names

Rename treatment options to match the language your practice uses. For example:

  • “Full Mouth Rehab / All-on-X” → “Implant Candidates”
  • “Smile Makeover” → “Veneer Candidates”

CRM Integration

Connect SmileGen to your existing CRM (if applicable) directly from the settings panel.

Admin Security PIN

Add a 4-digit PIN as a second layer of protection on your admin form. Highly recommended if you’re sharing the admin link broadly — this prevents unauthorized users from burning through your credits if the link is ever shared by mistake.

Default Language

Change the default display language for your SmileGen interface.

NEW BETA FEATURE: Reference Smile Photos

You can now upload up to six reference smile photos that the AI will use to guide your transformations.

What This Does

If you have a set of past after-photos that turned out beautifully (or example smiles you love the look of), upload them as references. When generating a new transformation, you can select one of your reference photos to help the AI more accurately produce the outcome you’re aiming for.

How to Set It Up

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Scroll to Reference Smiles (Beta)
  3. Upload up to 6 reference photos of smiles you want to use as targets
  4. Click Save Brand Settings

How to Use It

When creating a new transformation, you’ll see a new Reference Smile dropdown. Choose:

  • None — let the AI generate freely (default)
  • One of your reference photos — the AI will use that smile as a guide to produce a more targeted result on the first try

This helps you deliver consistent results that match both your clinical capabilities and your patient’s expectations.
